An egress window is a large window that provides an exit in case of an emergency, such as a fire.
We handle the submission of all permit forms on your behalf, so you don't need to worry about it. Upon signing the proposal, we begin the process of submitting the forms to the township for approval. After the permit is approved, your only responsibility is the permit fee set by the township. The approval process generally takes 2-4 weeks, and the fees, which can vary depending on the township, typically range from $150-$300, although they may vary.
Typical installation is one to two days, depending on the number of windows and site conditions. Read about the installation process here.
An average window costs between $6,500 and $7,500. This includes permit preparation, excavation, window, window wells and accessories, and installation. Prices will vary based on site conditions, window size and location, and finishes. Your proposal will include a detailed description of what is included and mention any exclusions. You will have the full project cost upfront. There are no hidden fees or installation day "add-ons".
We are equipped to work in most kinds of weather, including rain and snow. Storms or other dangerous weather conditions could cause the installation date to be moved. If this is the case you will be notified, usually by 5 pm the day prior to installation.

We ask that all sprinklers be turned off 3 days in advance. Vehicles should not block access to the yard. The inside area should be free of personal items and furniture within a 6-foot radius. Please speak to us in advance about any large obstacles.
Utility mark-outs will be done a few days before excavation. All major utility providers, such as gas, water, sewer, will send a representative to mark the utility lines in the yard with spray paint. They will not need to enter your home nor do you need to be home. On the day of installation - our crew, usually 2-3 workers, will need access to the interior of your home.
You can pay online with a credit/debit card. You can also pay by check, cash, or credit card over the phone. A scheduling deposit is due at the signature of the contract, then 50% of the project cost is due the day before installation and 50% the day after.
