Customers contact us in many ways - phone, text, email, Facebook, webform, etc. No matter how you get in touch we'll call you back to get basic information about your project. We'll also ask you to text or email some photos of the area that needs work.
The team discusses your needs and decides which qualified customer service representative will call you back. This conversation will take a bit longer (10-15 minutes) and our goal is to gain a thorough understanding of your repairs or renovations. Now that Hargrave Contractors has seen your space and talked to you, we come up with a game plan for the next steps.
Realistic Expectation of Project Cost: In most cases, our team will give a ballpark number. The photos you sent and the discussion we've had allow us a general idea of the work that needs to be done - all without you waiting for someone to come to your home. We've found that many people don't know how much repairs and renovations should cost- we put numbers to the question "about how much will this costs me?" The ballpark estimate allows everyone to have a realistic expectation of project costs.
No two clients have identical needs, so this is where there's no formula to follow. The next step depends on your need. We value our time and yours. Through years of experience, we've found that using the formula of just showing up for an estimate and putting some numbers on a yellow paper isn't useful. The team at Hargrave Contractors is developing a working relationship with you. Depending on your project we might schedule a site visit, design consultation, or send a proposal. No matter what the next steps are, Hargrave Contractors communicates regularly with you. We have a staffed office making sure that you know you are important to us.
Once the scope of work is defined we provide a written estimate by email. Once you accept the estimate/want to schedule work you'll receive a contract via DocuSign. You'll also receive a copy of our insurance and license. From there you get set up with an owner's portal where you can follow your project in real time.
We use an awesome project management platform called Buildertrend. You can access Buildertrend from the phone app or online. All communication is centralized in Buildertrend. You can choose text, pop-up, or email for notifications. You'll also find the schedule, photos, selections, invoices, and ACH payment processing. Everything for your project is centralized in one place.
